In this engaging episode of the Soul Seekers Podcast, host Johnny Mack is joined by Dylan Dowson from onX to share stories from an unforgettable season and explore the latest updates to the onX Hunt app. Dylan recounts his demanding 10-day mountain goat hunt in northern British Columbia, from braving freezing rain and rugged terrain to the challenging recovery of his goat. He also shares the excitement of an opening-night elk hunt, the importance of hunting with family, and how his perspective continues to evolve as his kids grow. Then Johnny and Dylan get into onX’s new safety and location-sharing features, including its partnership with Overwatch and Rescue, and discuss how technology can help hunters in the backcountry while still leaving room to disconnect. Packed with hard-earned lessons, hunting stories, and practical app updates, this episode celebrates the adventure, preparation, and relationships that make every season memorable.
